By car

Note: Baring Crescent is a private through road with a barrier in the centre. You can only drive in from the Heavitree road side B3183 not the Magdalen road side!

Travelling North on the A30

Leave the A30 at the junction marked A377 Exeter/Crediton, at the roundabout take the first left, you are now on Alphington Road. There are several sets of traffic lights, head straight through all of them. After several minutes you will drive under a railway bridge and come to a set of traffic lights just before Exe Bridges roundabout, on your left will be Riverside Leisure Centre. Then head straight on for the city centre staying in the middle lanes over the Exe Bridges onto the B3212. This road takes you up the hill to more traffic lights, keep heading straight on past the Magdalen Chapter (hotel) then curves left past the courts until you finally reach a roundabout.

Take the 4th exit right B3183 Heavitree road. Heading up this hill you come past the Police station to a set of traffic lights with Waitrose on your left.

Here you turn immediately right into Baring Crescent a private through road with a barrier in the middle.

We are in the middle at no.6, parking is free behind the premises.

Entering Exeter at M5 junction 29

Take the A3015 heading west into the city centre. At the roundabout Park and ride continue up the hill past the Met Office then under a railway bridge to a mini roundabout. Head straight on again under another bridge and down the hill to a set of traffic lights. Turn right onto B3183 heading down past a Texaco garage more traffic then the road curves right.

Carry along on the heavitree road past shops and then once at the top of the hill the road forks. Keep to the right side still the B3183, then as you come over and down the hill turn left before the traffic lights, just before Waitrose supermarket by a white thin row of houses into Baring Crescent.

By train

Arrive at Central Station.

Exit by the main staircase. If you're walking: a smart 20 minute walk from Central Station.

Turn left into Queen Street and go to the High Street. Turn left, walk up the High Street to the traffic lights, then right down Paris Street, past the Bus Station on your left.

Cross Western way by the pelican crossing (just round the corner on your right), then left into Heavitree Road, passing the Pyramids (swimming and leisure centre) on your right, the police station on your left, and finally St Luke's College on your right.

Baring Crescent is just past St Luke's College on the right, opposite the new Waitrose and the old Heavitree Hospital. Walk down Baring Crescent until you see number 6 on your left, the last but one house before the barrier that divides the crescent in half.

If you want a bus: bus route A stops outside the station. This will take you up Heavitree Road: alight at stop for St Luke's.

By Bus

Heavitree Road is served by many bus routes.

Local routes: A, D, R, S, SR4. H will take you close - alight at College Road, 5 minutes away.

Out of town buses: 4, 4A, 4B, 52A, 52B, 52C, 56, 56A, 56B, 58.
